Senior Financial Planning Advisor National Bank of Canada invites applications for the Senior Financial Planning Advisor role. The position supports clients and National Bank Financial (NBF) investment advisors in their financial planning needs by providing comprehensive financial plans and advanced expertise in taxation and estate planning. Responsibilities Become one of the references in financial planning within the client advisory team of one of the largest asset management firms in Canada. Conduct interviews with high‑net‑worth clients, establish trust relationships, and create tailored financial plans. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong professional relationships. Manage multiple complex cases with tight deadlines in a constantly evolving environment. Prepare and deliver training sessions on financial planning to investment advisors. Identify and develop business opportunities for all services and products offered by National Bank Financial. Participate in the development of practical solutions to business issues. Your team Based at the South Shore offices of NBF, you will work with colleagues—including financial planners, estate planners, and tax specialists—to support investment advisors and clients in the South Shore region across seven areas of intervention. Prerequisites 15 years of relevant experience. University degree in a relevant field (accounting, actuarial science, finance, economics, etc.). In‑depth knowledge of financial planning concepts, including personal and corporate taxation and pension plans. Significant consulting experience. Strong ability to build professional relationships with a variety of professionals (investment advisors, tax specialists, estate planners, etc.). Skill at simplifying complex concepts. Availability to travel to the greater South Shore NBF offices. Assets Experience or master’s degree in taxation (or CICA Indepth tax course). Knowledge of insurance strategies. Knowledge of the wealth‑management field. Member of Financial Planner Canada. Member of the Institut (Québécois) de planification financière.
