The opportunity has arisen for an experienced perioperative nurse to develop and utilise existing clinical, leadership and management skills within the Perioperative Clinical Educator Role (Band 7) within the Institute of Neurological Sciences. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the Lead Nurse to ensure clinical practice is evidence‑based and all staff achieve and maintain a high standard of specialist peri‑operative knowledge and skill, meeting mandatory training requirements. Key role in supporting and developing the Band 4 Scrub Practitioner role. Coordinating programmes of education and NHSGGC Educational Programmes. Coordinating student ODP and newly qualified practitioners. Coordinating the NHSGGC newly qualified nurse programme. Implementing corporate Practice Development Programmes. Essential qualifications and experience: Significant experience and knowledge of scrub, recovery and anaesthetic roles within Neurosurgery, OMFS, Recovery and Neuro‑interventional radiology. Experience as a Clinical Supervisor contributing to the well‑being of the wider nursing team within the Neuroscience Services.
