Work collaboratively with engineers, designers and drafters in the preparation of deliverables to BBA and client standards Assist in the preparation of design deliverables under the supervision of the project engineers Assist in calculations and studies Assist in site inspections, testing and commissioning at client sites Overview of certifications and job requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university Member in good standing with EGBC and registered as an EIT Minimum 1 year of experience in engineering Familiarity with reading and preparing electrical schematics of various types (single lines, three lines, and interconnection drawings) Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications Basic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installations Strong communication (verbal and written in English), interpersonal, and relationship-building skills A valid driver’s license Able to travel to customer sites and other BBA offices within Canada, the USA, and international destinations for project short-term assignments, such as site meetings, field reviews, site assessments, tests, etc. The following experience will be valued but is not necessary: Knowledge of power systems (HV, MV, LV) Knowledge of electrical study software such as PSCAD, PSSE, CYME, PSSE, and EMTP-RV Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written, ability to draft technical documents in both languages An overview of BBA’s total Awards Annual base salary between $68,100-$83,200 Annual premium program for regular employees Access to a time bank Onsite mobility premium Cellphone Program Group insurance plan starting day one including short-term and long-term disability insurance for regular employees Retirement saving plan for regular employees Vacation and sick leave Premium offered through the Employee Referral program BBA considers many factors to determine the annual base salary such as, but not limited to: Market, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications, and other relevant competencies.
