Location: Warren, MI. Salary: $70,000.00-$85,000.00. Employment type: Full-time The Brake Development Lab (BDL) is part of the Engineering Systems Development - Chassis / Body-in-White (ESD - CBIW) department. Responsibilities include the operation of two brake-end dynos and one full-size chassis dyno, associated test setup and reporting, supervision of unionized personnel, directing work between engineers, leading daily customer interface meetings, analyzing data using a Laser Vibrometer and a Caliper Test Stand, coordinating and shipping specimens, working with external suppliers on dissections, tracking budgets and generating purchase orders, interviewing, hiring and training co‑op students, and additional departmental activities as scheduled (e.g., vacation coverage in the Electromechanical Systems Test Lab). The role requires excellent communication, leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration skills and may require coverage during evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime. Skill Requirements Knowledge of vehicle suspension and braking systems Team Center and NX knowledge (asset) Knowledge of Link ProLink software suite (asset) Previous experience using a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) (asset) Competent with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VBA) Strong time management, leadership, planning and follow‑up skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Work Experience Requirements 3 years of engineering experience within the automotive/testing industry (testing experience preferred) Experience working in a unionized environment Legally authorized to work in Canada and able to travel to the USA Valid driver’s license Educational Requirements Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or Material Engineering from an accredited university At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
