Who you are and what you'll do You are passionate about indoor navigation and best-in‑class maps used by millions of people. You are meticulous in your work with high attention to detail. You enjoy working with architectural or technical drawings. As part of the Customer Implementation Team, you will report to the Director of Customer Implementation and you will work closely with the Project Delivery Managers and VP of Engineering. Your primary responsibility will be interpreting and digitizing floorplans of varying complexity, transforming them into simplified, user‑friendly versions for our clients. With a strong focus on Mappedin’s enterprise business (malls, airports, stadiums, campuses, and offices), you will use your skills to understand key information and translate that into intuitive maps that cater to clients' needs. Support the delivery of new client implementations, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met. Assist the Project Management team in administrative tasks, coordination, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Become an expert on Mappedin’s suite of products and ongoing projects, enabling successful customer onboarding. Participate in internal and external coordination and project meetings to ensure smooth project execution. Assist with map digitization efforts, following Mappedin’s design practices to create simplified, user‑friendly indoor maps from architectural drawings. Collaborate with Project Managers to create new venues, support data entry, and implement product integrations and theming. Take ownership of the Quality Assurance process, continuously seeking improvements to tools and workflows. Lead smaller accounts and projects from Kick‑Off to Launch, ensuring successful outcomes. Support on‑site work and delivery as outlined in the signed Order Form. Support international accounts across different time zones. Flexibility to travel (up to 25%) for client needs and on‑site work. Work with architectural plans to understand and digitize various types of indoor venues, focusing on Mappedin’s enterprise business. Assist with ongoing legacy map updates and support ad‑hoc enterprise project requests. Required Skills Great attention to detail and organizational skills. Friendly attitude, quick learner, and ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Experience with CAD‑editing software (AutoCAD) is a plus, but not required. Proficiency in Adobe software, especially Illustrator, is preferred. Interest or experience in architecture or urban planning is beneficial. Behind the Scenes We move fast and pivot as needed. We operate with experimental mindsets and are constantly pushing the boundaries of our industry. Because of this, we can’t guarantee exactly what you’ll be working on three months from now but we can guarantee that you will be working on high value projects that will foster your growth along with Mappedin’s. One of our core values is playing for the team. This means that we’re constantly balancing our own goals with the needs of the organization and jump in to help others whenever needed. At Mappedin, we don’t take a one‑size‑fits‑all approach to how we work. While we have colleagues around the globe, some roles are best suited for full‑time, in‑person work at our home office in Waterloo. We are committed to getting things done and holding each other accountable. We stay curious, embrace risks, and learn from our mistakes. We’re competitive and enjoy winning together as a team. We believe in being transparent about how we hire. We use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help record interviews and create notes for us to review later. Every application and interview is still reviewed by our People Operations team, and all hiring decisions are made by people — not AI. We welcome applications from people with disabilities. We provide reasonable accommodations for candidates upon request through the recruitment process. For additional information, please email us at accessibility@mappedin.com or call us at (519) 594-0102 and ask to speak to a member of the Human Resources team.
