Technical Business Analyst (M365)

Contract opportunity that will start at 6 months, very likely to extend

100% on-site in the Calgary office

MUST be comfortable working in the office in Calgary 5 days per week

Seeking a Technical B.A. to play a key role in migration planning and execution, with a focus on user migration and integration of Microsoft 365 (M365) applications.

Responsibilities:

User Migration Planning:

  • Lead detailed planning activities for user migration, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations

Integration Project Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and define technical solutions to support integration initiatives

M365 Applications:

  • Provide expertise in M365 applications, including but not limited to SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and OneDrive, to support migration and integration efforts

Business Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement

Requirements Gathering:

  • Engage stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations

Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and test cases, to support development and implementation activities

Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project management to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and ensure project success

Quality Assurance:

  • Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to validate technical solutions and ensure compliance with business requirements and project standards

Desired experience:

Detailed User Migration:

  • Planning: Proven experience in planning and executing user migration projects, with a focus on minimizing disruption and ensuring a smooth transition

Microsoft 365 (M365) Applications:

  • Strong familiarity with M365 applications and their integration capabilities, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and OneDrive

Business Analysis:

  • Demonstrated expertise in business analysis methodologies, techniques, and tools, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

Communication:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-Solving:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions

$70 - $80 per hour for an INC consultant
