Senior Tax Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive tax professional to support the Company’s Canadian and U.S. tax compliance and reporting requirements. This role plays a critical part in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, SR&ED claims, and government remittances, while ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory systems and deadlines. Working closely with the accounting team, external advisors, and the executive team, the successful candidate will contribute to accurate financial reporting, support tax audits, research evolving tax regulations, and assist with day-to-day accounting operations and special projects. Responsibilities Complete the preparation of the Company’s Canadian corporate tax returns, including leading the preparation and review of annual SR&ED filings. Preparation of calculations and working paper schedules in supporting the tax returns. Assist in the filing of the Company’s US corporate tax returns. Ensure Canadian and US government remittances, including sales taxes, corporate taxes are submitted on time. Maintain access and compliance with financial portals and systems for Canadian and US tax filings and regulatory submissions. Serve as the point of contact for all tax compliance audits. Assist accounting team in preparation of financial statement tax provisions and disclosures. Research new tax trends and regulations. Liaison with external accounting firm(s) and working closely in all areas with the executive team.
