You will assist the technical leads, project engineers, and project managers of the multidiscipline Capital Projects team for the Bethune K+S Potash Mine. ResponsibilitiesProvide overall support for engineering deliverables not limited to design reviews, performing engineering checks, vendor drawing reviews and site inspectionsCoordinate with and be exposed to technical experts, discipline leads and senior engineersCollect field data and collaborate with site personnel while gaining hands on experience at a source industrial facility for a global companyPrepare technical reports, scope of work, studies and design detailsLearn applicable real world engineering practicesUtilize engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, and AVEVAAssist with development of documents including engineering specifications, feasibility studies / tradeoffs, and technical decision recordsManage project definition and progressReport on project details and provide status updatesIntegrate cross discipline design detailsAnalyze safety hazards and risks pertaining to projectsTerm and LocationThe position is full-time for a 16-month term (starting May 2026) and is located at the Saskatoon Head office.

Qualifications

and ProfileCurrently enrolled in post-secondary studies with a focus in engineering from an accredited university or collegePreferred Mechanical or Industrial Systems Engineering students; other disciplines will also be consideredMust be authorized to legally work in CanadaReturning to full-time studiesHold a valid driver's license as travel is requiredAbility to work independentlyAbility to learn quickly and take on new challengesAbility to adapt and embrace changeAptitude in teamwork, ability to collaborate with team members of several disciplinesExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsShows critical and creative thinking to problem solve and provide solutionsResults-Oriented Self-Starter attitudeStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)Previous potash and solution mining experience would be considered an assetPrevious engineering co-op work experience will be considered an assetEmployment is subject to successfully completing KSPC's pre-employment checks which may include criminal record check, education verification, and drug & alcohol testing.
