Job Description We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Senior Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement, supporting accurate accounting operations and informed business decisions. What you’re responsible for: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Perform complex account reconciliations and variance analyses Support month‑end and year‑end close processes Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies Support internal and external audits, including documentation and audit requests Collaborate cross‑functionally with FP&A, operations, and leadership teams Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Mentor junior accounting staff as needed Qualifications You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) You are a CPA or CPA‑eligible (preferred) You have 4–7+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience You have strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards You have advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas) You have experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday) You have excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills You have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines What we offer A competitive wage, vacation, benefits and a RRSP matching program Annual AIM tuition scholarship program up to $8,500 per eligible dependent The tools and support needed to be successful in your career and professional development A dynamic & rewarding work environment that is also a lot of fun Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Finance Industries Utilities #J-18808-Ljbffr
