What you're responsible for Organizing and coordinating daily yard activities to ensure efficiency Assigning tasks to yard employees and monitoring workflow to meet daily operational goals Providing hands‑on support and guidance to team members Ensuring materials are sorted, processed and handled properly Motivating and encouraging employees to maintain productivity Communicating expectations and ensuring tasks are carried out accordingly Ensuring compliance with company policies and identifying opportunities for improvement Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience as a Supervisor Previous experience in a recycling, industrial, construction or manufacturing environment Experience with heavy equipment (forklift, loader, etc.) is an asset Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to make quick decisions Hands‑on experience with yard equipment, material handling, or heavy machinery Comfortable working in a physically demanding and fast‑paced environment Comfortable working outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Management Industries Utilities Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at American Iron & Metal (AIM) by 2x.
