Position Overview: If you are a Heavy Duty Mechanic with field experience, and wanting an opportunity to work around Alberta and NWT, this job is for you Company: Finning Canada Number of Openings: 4 Worker Type: Permanent Location: Various locations in Alberta Schedule: 7x7 or 14x14 continuous rotation What’s In It For You? $51.96 - $58.19 (probation)/hr (depending on location) Hourly premiums available Continuous shift: $3.50/hr Night shift: $3.50/hr Field: $2.25/hr Paid breaks, vacation, sick and flex time Overtime & double time hours available Continuous shift; extra 15 scheduled weeks off per year Industry leading Benefits Employee Share Purchase Plan Options RRSP and retirement plan options Boot and Tool Allowance Premium Camp or Location Allowance CAT Dealer grade training Job Description Major Job Functions Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes) Interact with customers, sales support, and the Finning team Work with the Service Supervisor and Lead Hand on various tasks as required Qualifications Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification Dual Tickets will be an asset Valid driver's license with a recent driver abstract Previous Caterpillar experience is an asset Willingness to participate and complete additional training Self-motivated, computer literate, and safety orientated with the ability to work under minimal supervision Team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Important Details A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
