Ensure patients comfort and confidence in the competence and professionalism of the centre and its staff. Prepare reports for the information; answer technical questions, carrying out any necessary information. Demonstrate knowledge on company procedures and standards; including procedures relating to the performance and documentation of examinations, booking system reporting procedures, turn‑around time, equipment, and methods used in other company centres, and the amount of training required to attain familiarity. Operate and maintain equipment via participation in Quality Control and Quality Assurance tests. Ensure personal development through training courses and/or training appropriately to upgrade technical skills, abilities and knowledge. Perform additional duties and responsibilities that may be assigned and ability to work in various shifts. May perform BMD examinations. (Only applicable to BMD Technologists) May perform radiation detection through gamma cameras, scanners, scintillation counters, tomodensitometers and ionization chambers, to acquire data for use by nuclear medicine physicians in the diagnosis of disease. (Only applicable to Nuclear Medicine Technologists) Qualifications, Experience & Requirements College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months Current and valid Certificate of Registration with the Association of Medical Radiation Technologists of the relevant province. Knowledge and proficiency in general nuclear medicine procedures. Maintain current CPR and First Aid certificate. Maintain competence in position by attending staff meetings. Strong organizational and interpersonal awareness & skills, good command of the English language and excellent communication skills, accuracy, dependable, flexible, judgement, reliable and team player, attention to detail. Ability to work varying shifts and ability to work independently as well as part of a team and in a fast paced environment. Self‑evaluate performance, establish personal objectives and participate in yearly staff performance review.
