Own AI Platform projects from design through launch and on-call Build gateways, runtimes, and evaluation services for production workloads Implement identity, quota, routing, caching, and failover controls Partner with security, infrastructure, and product engineering teams Monitor systems through metrics, alerting, runbooks, and on-call Requirements:
Four or more years building backend systems at scale Experience with Python or Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes Production experience with LLMs, agents, or AI frameworks Strong technical planning, coding, testing, and communication skills Equivalent practical experience or a related Bachelor’s degree Apply backend engineering, distributed systems, and AI platform expertise to production infrastructure at Affirm.
