Service Area Population Management Grade — EGI OR EGII – £42,922 – £46,339 OR £48,151 – £51,507 per annum Full Time The States of Guernsey are looking for a Population Management Officer to join their team within the Population Management Office. The Population Management Office assumes responsibility for processing applications for Population Management Certificates and Permits and provides an efficient and effective service in dealing with enquiries from the general public and employers. Post holders are responsible for providing high quality customer service and ensuring the timely, efficient, consistent and accurate delivery of the Population Management Office functions. A key value of the Office is the focus on customer needs through the delivery of a high quality service, empathy and continuous improvement. The team deals with all contact to the Office including online applications, email and face to face enquiries and integrity of data on the system. The post holder will act as a key member of the Population Management team and will be the initial point of contact for all telephone, visitor and email enquiries and applications liaising with employers and members of the general public. The post holder will report to the Deputy Administrator and will liaise with more experienced officers for guidance. The workload of the team is shared in a flexible manner to ensure each post-holder is skilled across a range of duties. The post holder will be accountable and responsible for undertaking a range of general clerical, administrative and statutory duties, and will work as part of a small flexible team. Job Description Law Enforcement Vetting The successful candidate will be required to complete a Law Enforcement Vetting Form. If you are successful after interview, the form will be sent to you via email along with your offer of employment, and must be completed and returned, in person, with relevant photo ID, to the Recruitment Team, Sir Charles Frossard House. In order to satisfy residency criteria you need to have been resident in the UK or Guernsey for a period of 3 years. The calculation of the period of time refers to the period immediately before an application is made and not any other period or accumulation of time spent in the UK or Guernsey.
