Nuclear Medicine Technologist Location: Eastern Zone, Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Employment type: Casual, Hourly, Full‑time long assignment (100%). Posting closing date: 12-Jan-26. About the Opportunity Under the remote supervision of the Manager and in collaboration with the team, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares, dispenses, and administers radiopharmaceuticals to perform over 70 nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies. The role includes ongoing quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals, imaging equipment, and documentation required by hospital accreditation, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and Health Canada. The technologist adapts procedures, performs complex computer manipulations and analysis, and provides a high standard of healthcare to the client. On a rotating basis, the technologist is required to independently perform on‑call/emergency procedures outside of department hours for presentation to the nuclear medicine physician. About You Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure Basic Life Support Certification Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training Ability to adapt to changes or unusual circumstances in a way that promotes cooperation, teamwork, and minimizes disruption to the work environment Ability to establish a rapport with patients demonstrating courtesy, kindness, understanding, and professionalism at all times Commitment to practicing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine and initiative in maintaining and expanding all related skills Competence in other languages an asset; French preferred Hours Long assignment full‑time position; 75 hours biweekly Approximately 18 months Shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends Compensation And Benefits $36.88 - $45.21 hourly.
