Position Summary Responsible for the maintenance of phyto‑remediation tree plantations at Belle Park Assist with storm‑water surveillance sampling Assist with monitoring well abandonment, spill response, soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling Carry equipment, walk for long durations along waterfront and through wooded and swampy areas across the city (all weather conditions) Perform other duties as assigned Hours of operation are typically Monday – Friday: between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Qualifications, Competencies MUST BE ENROLLED IN AND RETURNING TO FULL‑TIME POST‑SECONDARY STUDIES IN FALL OF 2026 – verification required Must have completed two semesters of college or university in an Environmental or Engineering program of study Must possess and maintain a valid Class ‘G’ licence Experience with landscaping equipment is an asset Must demonstrate corporate values of Belonging, Collaboration, Accountability, and Innovation Skills, Abilities, Work Demands Ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions Perform lifting, pushing, pulling, and walking for long durations Must provide and wear green patch safety shoes during shifts when required Strong customer service skills Work effectively both independently and as part of a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel Organize and prioritize tasks Judgement and discretion when dealing with confidential information Follow instructions and perform assigned duties with limited direct supervision Excellent interpersonal skills Obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal record check at the candidate’s own expense Closing Statement Please inform us of any accommodations we need to make to ensure a barrier‑free recruitment experience.
