UNCERTIFIED TEACHERS TEACHING ON CALL IN MACKENZIE, BC SD No. 57 Our District is seeking enthusiastic individuals to work as CASUAL Uncertified Teachers Teaching on Call in Mackenzie, BC. Applicants will preferably have a minimum of three years of post‑secondary education at the university level, along with a variety of recent experiences working with either children or teens in a coaching, mentoring or employment capacity. This posting is specific to individuals willing to work in the rural community of Mackenzie, B.C., located 185 km north of Prince George, BC. It is a town of approximately 3700 people. Please check the location of this community prior to applying to this posting. Applicants must be prepared to work on a casual on‑call basis in any school in their geographical area. A reliable vehicle/transportation is essential to this role. Applicants with assessment and trauma‑informed practice experience are preferred. Qualifications And Experience Knowledge of Ministry of Education’s redesigned curriculum and core competencies. Evidence of appropriate qualifications and/or experience in working with children. Understanding of inclusionary, differentiation and assessment practices. Knowledge of First Nations Principles and the Principles of Truth and Reconciliation. Understanding how to support the social‑emotional regulation of children. A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment and evidence of strong organization and ability to manage groups of children. A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting. Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology into your work environment. The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the greater community. A current, valid driver’s license and ability and willingness to travel as required. Compensation Up to $1,000 relocation allowance for teachers’ relocation from within BC; up to $1,500 for teachers relocating from AB, SK & MB; and up to $2,000 for teachers relocating from all other provinces and out of country. Salary as per collective agreement. Current salary grid is $49,769 - $95,681. Salary is based on TQS and prior experience. Benefits as per collective agreement with option to enroll in Dental, Extended Health, and Group Life Insurance. Benefits are employer paid based on FTE.
