Intermediate Litigation Associate – Insolvency, Foreclosures, Commercial Litigation BC Legal Management Association invites applications for an Intermediate Litigation Associate with a focus on insolvency, foreclosures, and commercial litigation. Position Overview We are looking for a 3‑to‑8‑year call associate with experience in insolvency, foreclosure, receivership, and proceedings under the BIA and CCAA. The ideal candidate will manage files from initiation through resolution and assist senior counsel on larger, more complex matters. Responsibilities Conduct and manage litigation files of appropriate complexity. Assist senior counsel on complex cases and transnational matters. Prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial materials. Negotiate settlements and manage client communication. Provide mentorship to junior associates and support staff. Qualifications 3‑to‑8 years of post‑call experience in insolvency, foreclosures, or commercial litigation. Experience with foreclosures, receiverships, and proceedings under the BIA or CCAA preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage a file independently from start to finish. Strong judgment, work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills. Existing client base is an asset but not required. Compensation Lockstep model with base salary $143,000 – $195,000 depending on year of call, plus a bonus/incentive program for exceeding billable hour expectations.
