What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be joining CIBC’s Shared Platform Technologies, EPSP Team as Full Stack Developer. You’ll be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back‑end systems. As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll lead the planning and strategy for the technical design, development and integration of the applications. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive. To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on‑site full‑time. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1‑3 days per week on‑site, while other days will be remote. How You’ll Succeed Design and Development – Utilize various tools to accelerate coding, testing, and troubleshooting, driving efficiency and innovation in your daily work. Leverage tools like Github and Jenkins to streamline development workflows, automate deployments, and enhance overall efficiency. Troubleshooting and Optimization – Analyze and resolve complex integration issues, proactively identifying opportunities to optimise and future‑prove our technology stack. Partner with business and technology leaders to translate requirements into high‑impact solutions, driving value and competitive advantage for CIBC. Leadership Skills – Solid understanding of software engineering best practices. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem‑solving. Who You Are Demonstrate 5 years experience in full stack development, proficiency in back‑end technologies and assets such as Go (Golang), Node.js, Java, Python. Strong experience with front‑end frameworks like React, Angular. Familiarity with database technologies SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis). Experience integrating APIs and third‑party services. Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
