Architect large-scale EKS infrastructure with Terraform and Kubernetes expertise at Affim, supporting a remote-first engineering organization. Drive reliable platform standards across global environments. As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will guide the Compute Platform team’s EKS foundation. Your work spans cluster lifecycle, node management, shared components, workload safety, and observability. You will shape standardized, automated, and self-healing systems for engineering teams. Key Responsibilities:

Architect EKS clusters, lifecycle processes, and shared components Lead Terraform and Spacelift provisioning, upgrades, and teardown Define workload safety standards and enforcement automation Establish audits, observability, reporting, and risk measurement Mentor engineers and participate in production incident response Requirements:

Deep EKS and Kubernetes internals expertise Six-plus years operating production Kubernetes at scale Ten-plus years in software or infrastructure engineering Terraform, GitOps, AWS, Go, or Python proficiency Experience building production Kubernetes controllers and platform tooling Lead Affim’s EKS platform strategy through Kubernetes architecture, automation, workload standards, and operational excellence.
