Join us and be a part of something impactfulJob Overview:TI Corp is seeking experienced Schedulers and motivated individuals with project coordination or construction field experience who are looking to expand their skills in scheduling and planning. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and adept at learning and adapting to new systems. They should thrive in a fast-paced project environment and possess the ability to work with attention to detail and efficiency.The Scheduler will be responsible for verifying and validating construction progress against the master project schedule. Key tasks will include reviewing the Works Schedule, identifying upcoming work for the next period, tracking key milestones, and verifying progress through site visits, project documentation reviews, and meetings. The Scheduler will also be tasked with developing Key Project Indicators (KPIs), identifying schedule slippage, and performing regular schedule analysis to identify delays, propose corrective actions, and explore optimization opportunitiesOur Corporate Values:Success is shared.Relationships matter.Teamwork builds capacity.Challenges are embraced.We do what we say we will doWhat we offer:Vacation starts at 5 weeks and you earn 1 day per year to a maximum of 6 weeks; however, if you join us from the BC Public Service your starting point will be commensurate with your earned years of serviceLearning and Development – TI Corp is dedicated to professionally growing staff and building internal capacity, through mentorship, active succession planning, learning and development financial assistance, and membership duesWe offer the same extended health benefits that are offered to included BC Public Servants plus a $1000 Health Spending Account annuallyWe are part of the BC Public Sector Pension Plan – if you join us from other Public Service or Public Sector organizations who are part of this pension plan, your pension will continue seamlesslyKey Accountabilities:Review contractor schedule for conformity with schedule baseline and Project Agreement.Review of technical design drawings, packages, and work method statements to gain detailed understanding of scope of works.Provide frequent site visits to assess progress and gain insight into works being performed.Conduct analysis on the project schedule, critical path/near longest paths and schedule risk to identify delays or slippage.Perform quantity takeoffs and estimates to validate durations using known production rates.Create detailed resource and quantity trackers to analyze productivity.Analyze project performance against the critical path and near longest paths.Identify schedule variance against the baseline schedule and previous period schedule updates.Evaluate and monitor construction progress; analyzing delays, identifying impacts/issues; proposing corrective actions and optimization opportunities; and providing regular schedule updates.Provide strategic input to project leadership team where required to mitigate schedule slippage.Develop Shadow Schedules to forecast out remaining works, specifically those identified on the critical path and near longest path.Support construction claims by reviewing contracts, schedules, project documentation, and third parties’ performance to anticipate, analyze, and determine liability and entitlement to damages.Identify and communicate out the project specific reporting requirements.Qualifications:A Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other related fields paired with job site experience that includes project co-ordination, field engineering, planning & scheduling, project controls, procurement, and/or construction for large civil infrastructure projects.Experience in LRT/Skytrain, Heavy Rail, or Transportation would be considered an asset.Excellent knowledge of project management approaches and design/build project methodology.Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, MS Project, Word).Familiarity in scheduling software such as Oracle Primavera P6.Additional experience in Time Impact Analysis, Cost Loading and Earned Value Management, Resource Loading and Levelling, and Linear Scheduling practices would be considered an asset.Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills and, attention to detail.Successful completion of security screening will be required as a condition of employment with TI Corp.Note:You must be legally authorized to work in Canada.Collection Notice: Your personal information is collected from LinkedIn by Transportation Investment Corporation (TI Corp) pursuant to 26(c), 26(e), and 27(1)(a)(i) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act for the purpose of TI Corp recruitment.
