This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. The incumbent actively contributes to compliance program management, financial reporting, and regulatory monitoring.Founded in 1989, Greenfield Global is one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-purity alcohols, specialty solvents, custom solutions, and fuel ethanol for businesses across the globe. Headquartered in Toronto, this family-owned business has consistently earned Platinum status among Canada’s Best Managed Companies since 2015.Key CompetenciesDemonstrates initiative and takes full ownership of mandates, ensuring quality and compliance of deliverables.Communicates information in a structured manner, both written and verbal.Pays close attention to data and processes, ensuring report accuracy and adherence to standards.Interprets financial data with discernment and suggests relevant optimization strategies.Understands complex issues and translates them into practical, applicable solutions.Manages time and tasks efficiently, even under heavy workloads or tight deadlines.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.Advanced proficiency in Excel, particularly for data analysis, financial modeling, and dashboard creation.In-depth expertise in biofuel compliance laws and regulations (e.g., CFR) and cap-and-trade systems.Understanding of compliance management mechanisms used by regulated petroleum companies.Ability to interact in English with external clients, suppliers, and auditors.Knowledge of the commodities sector is considered an asset.Job ResponsibilitiesAdminister the CFR program, including quarterly credit creation and transfers, as well as ad hoc sales and purchases.Produce and update weekly and monthly dashboards, and perform monthly reconciliations of regulatory credit inventories.Develop financial forecasts and participate in CI and CFR audits, including MBR audits and credit adjustment verifications.Document internal processes and conduct regulatory monitoring to anticipate legislative changes.Manage compliance for QC30 and RTC programs, along with other administrative compliance tasks.Handle permit renewals (e.g., corn grain, fuel) and monitor fuel tax obligations.Perform financial analyst duties, including invoice quality control, budget and forecast support, month-end reporting, and KPI updates.Act as an internal resource for various administrative and compliance-related tasks.Contribute to the development of business cases related to biofuel compliance and environmental credits.Total Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salaryOpportunities for formal and informal trainingComprehensive health and dental benefitsIncome protection: short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, paid personal sick leaveVacation time exceeding industry standardsBonus programCompany-funded retirement savings plan with individual contribution optionsMeaningful and stimulating workOrganizational culture focused on growth and development, engagement, and communicationCore ValuesHonestyIntegrityRespectCommitmentOpenness to changeTeam spiritGuiding PrinciplesInnovation: We continuously seek opportunities to develop new products, processes, and methods to meet customer demands.Collaboration: We act as both catalyst and collaborator, working with partners to maximize existing products and develop custom solutions.Responsibility: Our commitment to giving back goes beyond financial results.
