The successful candidate brings consultative skills, project leadership, pension and legislative knowledge to the role as well as the ability to apply best practices to successfully support the DB Administration Team. Your various responsibilities will allow you to use your analytical skills on a daily basis and to flourish in a stimulating career.What you’ll doClient Relationship management:Build and maintain excellent relations with client contactsParticipate in client meetings, as requiredEnsure the team provides top-quality services to clientsProvide relevant information to clients on administrative issues and legislative requirementsCoordinate full spectrum of DB Admin related services including web tools and call center servicesWork with clients to understand their perspective and resolve administrative issuesMaintain open lines of communication between client and teamAssist in identifying and developing new business with existing clientsUse knowledge of client contract and scope of services for invoicing purposesManage Service Agreements by ensuring they are reviewed regularly and that all fee adjustments and renewals are prepared in a timely mannerEscalate operational issues to Service Delivery Manager to help find solutions in a timely mannerSubject Matter Expertise:Verify benefit calculations, annual statements and other relevant reports in accordance with pension plan rules and applicable legislationReview annual statements for compliance and consult with client regarding any custom changesPrepare membership/payment reconciliations and valuation data including resolution of data issuesParticipate in system testing and ensure testing protocols are followedIdentify process improvement initiatives, present solutions to internal stakeholders and implement changes, where feasibleAttend internal training sessions to continue building knowledge of industry topics and trendsLead internal initiativesProject management:Manage daily and year-end functions, ensuring resources are assigned deliverables are met and risks are identified and mitigated to meet internal standards and service level requirementsLead special projects, as requiredCollaborate with resources in other departmentsTalent management and Coaching:Function as a team leader, overseeing work of other team membersConduct annual performance reviews and provide performance feedback on a regular basisAct as a mentor, supporting growth and development of other team membersConduct training sessionsWhat you bringSeven (7) + years of related DB Pension Administration experiencePost-secondary education; CEBS or PPAC designation is an assetAn independent, detail oriented, highly organized, accountable individual willing to take initiative and manage competing prioritiesStrong knowledge of provincial pension and tax legislationHighly developed customer service skillsIncisive analytical thinking and attention to detailExcellent communication, project management, presentation and negotiation skillsExceptional collaborator with team members, stakeholders, and clientsIntermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, as well as other Microsoft suite products (Outlook, Word, OneNote)Experience with pension administration softwareBilingualism (English and French) is considered an assetA bit about usWe’re a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
