Sessional Sociology (160) Online Instructor – Continuing Care AssistantOnline Contract Jun 27, 2025 – Jul 23, 2025Competition Code: 2502 108SRP CCA Jul 23Responsibilities:To provide online instruction in Sociology (SOC 160) to adult students enrolled in the Continuing Care Assistant program.Planning, preparation, and delivery of appropriate Sociology course instruction to students.Manage online classroom/lab activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students.Evaluate student performance and provide academic guidance.Attend scheduled meetings, and other duties as assigned.Evaluation of student progress using proscribed assessment measurement and oral report is ongoing during each semester.Qualifications:A Master’s degree in Sociology is required.Two years recent/relevant experience in business/industry or post-secondary teaching experience.Effective communication skills (oral and written) and effective interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of online tools, MS Office Suite software, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.Demonstrates valuing diversity.A sessional position, with a sessional pay rate: $65/hour.
