HVDC technology in particular is increasingly becoming a major player in this energy paradigm shift to enable large-scale renewable energy generation, such as offshore wind or large interconnectors.As an Engineer – HVDC, you will closely work with regional and global HVDC and power transmission experts within Jacobs to support and/or lead ongoing HVDC related projects as well as business development and proposal support with a variety of clients including renewable developers, transmission owner/developers as well as utilities.The successful candidate shall demonstrate related experience and technical knowledge in the field of electrical high-voltage engineering, with emphasis on HVDC, through past experience with consulting engineering firms, developers and/or direct exposure to OEMs. Prior knowledge of electrical design/studies, functional/technical specifications, and/or FAT/SAT commissioning related to HVDC systems is preferred. Knowledge of the offshore wind market will also be seen favorably.We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery.
