The Senior Analyst provides strategic leadership for specialized policing programs, with a primary focus on the Integrated Offender Management (IOM) program, which coordinates province-wide efforts to manage repeat and prolific offenders, while also supporting initiatives related to high‑risk offenders, integrated services, and emerging policing priorities. This includes working alongside the Unit’s police secondees in providing effective provincial oversight of the program, providing support to the Chair of the Provincial IOM Committee, and advancing the programming of the provincial IOM program to support law enforcement across the province in addressing prolific offenders. As the successful candidate, you will ensure program accountability through data collection, analysis, and reporting, while also managing other offender management activities on behalf of the Unit including the provincial High‑Risk Offender Committee and the Government of Alberta’s High Risk Offender Website to enhance public safety. Key Responsibilities Lead program and policy development for initiatives within the Integrated Community Safety and Specialized Policing Unit (ICSSPU). Identify issues, assess needs, and propose solutions to improve police efforts on repeat offending and related challenges. Develop proposals, briefing notes, and business cases to inform senior leadership and action emerging trends. Provide subject matter expertise and proactive briefings on offender‑related issues, including federal‑provincial matters. Build and maintain strong cross‑ministry and stakeholder relationships to advance integrated service delivery. Support implementation of specialized policing initiatives, advisory committees, and emerging projects as required. As the successful candidate, you will bring strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, exceptional communication and relationship‑building abilities, and proven leadership in managing complex initiatives.
