We offer a competitive remuneration package, comprehensive benefits, and employee recognition programs.The Operations Supervisor role is a hands‑on position that requires a strong knowledge of transportation and of Edmonton and surrounding area. The primary business is school busing and some charters. The Supervisor is required to oversee the operations, safety, and training aspects of one location for the Edmonton division.Principal Duties and Responsibilities Include:Provide leadership and direction to key departments: Operations, Safety, and TrainingMaintain awareness of current industry trends and changesInvestigate and initiate change to improve operations systems and proceduresSupervise and direct personnelEnsure all routes are covered in the most equitable and efficient mannerAssist with driver performance issues by supervising and supporting the training officer(s)Work closely with the maintenance department to ensure adequate numbers and sizes of units are available to cover all routesSet-up and input data for driver payrollHandle public and driver inquiries, hostile or complimentary, demonstrating empathy and professionalismEstablish and maintain relationships with current and future clientsAdhere to company Core Values, and achieve its Strategic GoalsRequirements:Post‑secondary education with emphasis on management; or equivalent experiencePrevious operations or transportation industry experience preferredPrevious supervisory experienceBilingual in French and English considered an assetExpertise in organizational planning and problem solvingKnowledge of provincial and federal laws & regulations pertaining to industry requirementsKnowledge of WCB and Occupational Health & Safety regulationsExceptional organizational, analytic problem solving, and diplomacy skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and tact #J-18808-Ljbffr
