Toronto Pearson Airport – Full Time Ground Transportation Officer Paladin Security Group Ltd is hiring for the Ground Transportation Officer position at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The role is full time, rotating shift (0700-1900 / 1900-0700) with a pay rate of $19.30 per hour. Location Mississauga, ON Job Overview Ground Transportation Guard – Taxi and Limo will oversee and manage the safe and orderly pick‑up of customers using Toronto Pearson Taxi and/or Limousine services. The safety and security of all airport occupants is paramount to Paladin Security's success. Responsibilities Being alert and observant while standing or walking for extended periods in all weather conditions. Manage the flow of passengers into authorized vehicles through the inner curb‑side location. Assist, communicate and update passengers with commercial vehicle status and/or inquiries. Coordinate passenger queuing. Deliver expected service in a consistent, predictable and courteous manner to passengers and drivers. Identify and report commercial vehicle activity that contravenes GTAA rules and regulations. Maintain proper vehicle threshold numbers for each terminal curb. Dispatch vehicles to arrivals curb as necessary to ensure equal wait times. Make arrangements for special vehicle requests (e.g., wheelchair‑accessible vehicles, oversized vehicles). Accurately monitor wait times during peak times and provide a daily peak period passenger count and wait times. Assist with inclement weather line‑up, doubling passengers when required. Ensure work area is clear of obstacles, including baggage carts, to maintain a safe environment. Maintain communications with fellow security guards, clientele and Paladin managerial staff. Respond immediately to any emergency and coordinate response accordingly based on established procedures. Perform duties assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to client directions (GTAA). Record all discrepancies, deficiencies and safety hazards during patrols and take corrective action. Enforce all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Maintain the highest standard of security at all times, being professional in attitude, appearance and application. Perform security duties in accordance with established procedures and within legal limits. Prerequisites Valid Security License for Ontario Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB‑approved vendor) Fluent in English (oral and written) Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred. Previous customer service experience required. Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB); if lacking, may enroll in Paladin's UOF/MOAB program prior to onboarding. Authorized to legally work in Canada.
