Underwriter/Senior Underwriter - Private & Not-for-Profit Management Liability Chubb is looking for a key member of the Financial Lines underwriting department to manage and grow a Private and Not-for-profit Management and Professional Liability book of business. This role will play a critical part in the growth and profitability initiatives for this specialty department. Major Responsibilities Identify, analyze and develop sources of new business by actively marketing Chubb products. Develop new business opportunities and provide customized approaches on market conditions and broker needs; work closely with leadership on marketing strategy execution. Select risk, negotiate coverage, and ensure pricing adequacy. Conduct in‑depth underwriting analysis to determine the best course of action on a risk‑specific basis. Collaborate with a centralized underwriting team on renewals retention and upsell existing renewal book. Cross‑sell with Commercial field underwriters and Financial Lines underwriters. Establish and maintain strong relationships with a variety of brokers and insureds in the Central region, including educating them on the Private and Not‑for‑Profit Management Liability segment. Participate in self‑development activities to improve or further develop technical product knowledge. Qualifications Successful completion of a university‑level curriculum and/or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2–3 years of Management Liability experience. Bilingualism in French and English is an asset. Previous experience in marketing or customer development. Demonstrated track record of customer service orientation and proven ability to foster strong business relationships. Proven negotiation skills gained through established broker relationships. Demonstrated analytical skills with comfort in financial analysis. Innovative and creative mindset to develop new opportunities. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Results‑oriented, accountable, and collaborative.
