Job Summary The Project Manager is responsible for leading technology implementation projects through a structured, phase-based delivery lifecycle, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards. The role includes end-to-end ownership of system implementation activities, including planning, configuration oversight, integrations, testing, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization. The Project Manager will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and system integrators to deliver compliant, scalable, and supportable technology solutions. The role is accountable for enforcing implementation methodology, managing technical risks and dependencies, and ensuring readiness for go-live and transition to operations. Responsibilities Strategy and Planning Develop and manage detailed technology implementation project plans covering scope, schedule, resourcing, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, communications, and quality controls. Lead projects using a structured, phase-based implementation methodology (e.g., preparation, design, build, test, deploy, stabilize), with clearly defined milestones and stage gates. Ensure business, functional, and technical requirements are clearly defined, validated, and traceable through configuration, build, and testing. Lead fit-to-standard decision-making, balancing configuration, customization, and integration approaches to meet business needs while minimizing technical risk. Define and manage implementation scope, success criteria, deliverables, and acceptance criteria across the full system lifecycle. Identify and plan for technical impacts including integrations, data migration, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements. Assess organizational readiness and coordinate change, training, and operational enablement activities required for system adoption. Provide guidance to stakeholders on technical solution options, implementation approaches, and associated risks and trade-offs. Operational Management Govern vendor and system integrator delivery activities, ensuring adherence to agreed methodology, milestones, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Coordinate cross-functional technical and business resources to execute implementation tasks, resolve dependencies, and address delivery risks. Proactively manage scope changes, technical risks, issues, and escalation paths, ensuring timely resolution and decision-making. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical artifacts, decision logs, approvals, and implementation deliverables. Provide regular, clear status reporting to project sponsors, steering committees, and senior stakeholders, highlighting delivery progress, risks, and mitigation actions. Facilitate technical and governance forums, including design reviews, readiness checkpoints, and steering committee meetings. Project Development and Management Develop and manage implementation budgets, forecasts, and vendor costs; recommend corrective actions where required. Oversee testing strategy and execution, including system, integration, and user acceptance testing, ensuring defects are tracked, prioritized, and resolved. Plan and manage deployment activities, including cutover planning, go-live readiness assessments, and production release coordination. Lead post-deployment stabilization and HyperCare activities to ensure system performance, issue resolution, and user support readiness. Ensure transition to steady-state operations, including support models, documentation, knowledge transfer, and ownership handoff. Lead formal project closure, including lessons learned, delivery outcomes, and operational sign-off. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience leading technology implementations, enterprise system deployments, or platform integrations. Demonstrated experience managing vendor-led implementations and system integrators. Experience delivering projects using structured, phase-based implementation methodologies. Strong understanding of system configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, deployment, and stabilization activities. Advanced MS Office skills (MS Project, Visio, Excel). Proven ability to lead by influence within a matrixed organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders. Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level reporting. PMP, Agile/Scrum, or other relevant project management certifications preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on technical delivery and risk mitigation. Proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional technical teams and vendors.
