Senior Architect

Senior Architect at Architecture49 Inc. Architecture49 (A49) is seeking a Senior Architect resident in the Seaway Corridor Region to join our team on a remote or hybrid basis. We value work‑life balance, continuous learning and technology‑led design processes. Responsibilities Lead and manage teams in producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings. Manage a group of architectural staff, leading project meetings and coordinating all other building disciplines on multi‑disciplinary projects. Perform internal reviews and quality checks of models and drawings to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Lead the team in researching materials, products and technologies required for design and incorporating them into details, specifications and other documents. Manage consultants and client communication. Provide technical and administrative oversight to ensure internal and external client needs are met and projects are delivered within cost, quality and schedule targets. Manage the financial aspects of the project, including planning, scheduling, forecasting, staffing and working with accounting to achieve desired results. Travel to communities and work sites in the Seaway Corridor. Qualifications Registered architect in Ontario (OAA). 10+ years of experience in a similar role. Familiarity with both provincial and national standards and codes. Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft 365 and Bluebeam. Experience with visualization software and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset. Experience or desire to work with Indigenous communities is an asset.
