OverviewVolunteer Opportunities | Africa–Canada Women’s Business Council (ACWBC) is a Canada-based non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs and strengthening their participation in economic relations between Canada and Africa. Through strategic alignment with Africa-focused governmental and institutional initiatives, ACWBC delivers capacity-building programs, including training, networking, mentorship, and high-impact events. The Council fosters partnerships that advance economic and cultural cooperation while supporting women-led businesses to scale sustainably and thrive within the Africa–Canada economic corridor. ACWBC’s work is guided by a strong commitment to sustainable development, inclusion, and long-term impact. Volunteer Roles Available (Full remote) Communications & Marketing Volunteer Project Officer (Programs & Initiatives) Partnerships Officer (Institutional & Corporate Relations) Role Overview (General) Volunteers will contribute to the design, coordination, promotion, and growth of ACWBC’s programs and partnerships. Depending on the role, responsibilities may include: Supporting the planning and execution of events, webinars, and initiatives Developing content and materials to promote ACWBC’s mission and impact Supporting outreach, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development Assisting with program coordination, reporting, and follow-up activities Contributing ideas and solutions in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment Responsibilities Contribute to the design, coordination, promotion, and growth of ACWBC’s programs and partnerships Support event planning and execution, webinars, and initiatives Develop content and materials to promote ACWBC’s mission and impact Support outreach, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development Assist with program coordination, reporting, and follow-up activities Qualifications & Profile Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and proactive Curious, adaptable, and motivated to challenge the status quo Comfortable working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment Interested in women’s entrepreneurship, international cooperation, or Africa–Canada relations Desired Skills (depending on role) Communications, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Content Creation Social Media Management and promotional material development Project coordination, event planning, or program support Partnership development, stakeholder engagement, or outreach Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and/or French Ability to work with diverse teams and manage multiple priorities Knowledge of Africa–Canada business relations or cross-cultural economic initiatives is an asset. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, International Relations, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Why Volunteer with ACWBC?
