The incumbent is expected to spend at least 60% of time on project management and delivery. This is not a remote position; the successful candidate will be required to work three days from the office. Travel required: Yes. Exempt position. Responsibilities Drive business development initiatives related to air travel demand consultancy services. Plan and manage consulting engagements, contribute to their delivery, and participate in the life of the Consulting practice. Lead and contribute to the delivery of consulting projects regionally in the Americas and occasionally elsewhere in the world, including supervising junior consultants, external subcontractors, and internal experts; developing analyses, Excel models, and deliverables; and facilitating client meetings. Perform project management activities: ensure adherence to scope, timeline, and budget; coordinate resources; manage variances and invoicing milestones; seek guidance from senior team members as needed; provide quality assurance and client relationship management; and present deliverables in client meetings. Contribute to the life of the Consulting practice: document opportunities and projects, update pipeline and deliverables, provide market intelligence, follow procedures, seek feedback and training, mentor junior team members, and contribute to new product and service design. What Your Day Would Be Like Accountable for commercializing and delivering IATA’s consulting services focusing on Traffic Forecasting, Air Service Development, and Market Studies. Identify and pursue business opportunities, prepare technical and commercial proposals, and present to clients; coordinate consulting contracts and ensure leading-edge project delivery. Qualifications University degree (Masters or PhD) in Business Administration, Economics, Air Transport / Airline Management or Aerospace Engineering, or similar. Minimum of 10 years of relevant consulting experience in market studies and traffic forecasting for the aviation industry. Solid knowledge of international aviation; proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with visualization software (PowerBI, Tableau) and data analytics languages (Python, R) is a plus. Experience with consulting proposals and client presentations in a reputable firm; ability to storyboard and structure findings in client-ready format. Excellent verbal and written English communication; knowledge of Spanish is a plus, Portuguese an advantage. Strong analytical, first-principles thinking, and business-oriented mindset. Valid US work permit. Location: Miami, FL, USA; three days per week in the office; not a remote role; travel as required.
