We AIM for excellence.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Administrator - Team Lead for a small group of highly experienced infrastructure professionals, focused mainly on transformational projects and initiatives. This role requires deep, hands‑on expertise across on‑premises infrastructure, virtualization, cloud platforms, storage, backup, and core networking, combined with a strong cybersecurity mindset. The Team Lead will coordinate work, provide technical direction, and act as an escalation point, while remaining actively involved in complex operations and projects. The Team Lead will also be responsible for the performance and human management aspect of their team.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & CoordinationLead and coordinate a small team of senior infrastructure engineers and administratorsAct as the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure and cloud issuesPrioritize and assign work, ensuring alignment with business priorities and service levelsFoster a collaborative, respectful environment that values the deep experience of team membersCoach, mentor, and support peers by sharing best practices, standards, and technical guidanceInfrastructure & Cloud OperationsWork in tight collaboration with operations teams to ensure stability, performance, and availability of on‑premises and cloud infrastructureAdminister and support Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware/Hyper‑V), storage, and backup solutionsManage and optimize core network services (DNS, DHCP, load balancers, VPNs) in collaboration with network teamsEnsure proper capacity planning, patching, lifecycle management, and documentation for all supported platformsDrive root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions for recurring incidentsCloud Platforms & ModernizationAdminister and optimize cloud environments (e.g., Azure, Microsoft 365, and/or AWS) including identity, compute, storage, and networkingContribute to cloud architecture decisions, migrations, and hybrid integrations with on‑premises systemsSupport automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives (e.g., ARM/Bicep, Terraform, or equivalent)Collaborate with application and DevOps teams to provide resilient, secure infrastructure services.Security & Compliance MindsetApply a security‑first mindset to all infrastructure and cloud design and operations (hardening, least privilege, secure configurations)Ensure alignment with cybersecurity policies, standards, and frameworks in partnership with the security teamSupport implementation of identity and access controls, MFA, privileged access management, and secure remote accessParticipate in security assessments, audits, and remediation activities related to infrastructure and cloudProjects, Documentation & Continuous ImprovementLead or contribute to infrastructure and cloud projects, ensuring operational readiness and smooth handoverMaintain high‑quality documentation of architecture, standards, procedures, and configurationsIdentify opportunities to simplify, automate, and standardize infrastructure serviceContribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing, and improvementsCollaboration & Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with security, network, applications, and service desk teams to deliver stable and secure servicesCommunicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders regarding incidents, changes, and project statusProvide input into roadmaps and strategy for infrastructure and cloud services from an operational perspectiveQualifications20+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure, systems, and/or cloud administration in medium and large environments (enterprise)Broad, hands‑on expertise across Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, storage, backup, and core network servicesDeep experience with one or more major cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS), including hybrid environmentStrong understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VPN, firewalls, load balancing)Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate highly experienced technical teams while remaining hands‑onProven track record of applying cybersecurity best practices to infrastructure and cloud (hardening, patching, access control, monitoring)Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to drive complex issues to resolutionExcellent communication skills and ability to influence and collaborate with peers and stakeholdersStrong team management and development skills Preferred / Nice‑to‑HaveExperience in environments with high availability and strict uptime or regulatory requirementRelevant certifications such as Microsoft (Azure/Windows Server), VMware, Cisco, or equivalentSecurity‑related certifications or training (e.g., GIAC, CISSP, AZ‑500, SC‑200) demonstrating a cybersecurity mindsetExperience with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for operations and configuration managementAdditional InformationA competitive wage, vacation, benefits and a RRSP matching programAnnual AIM tuition scholarship program up to $8,500 per eligible dependentsThe tools and support needed to be successful in your career and professional developmentA dynamic & rewarding work environment that is also a lot of fun #J-18808-Ljbffr
