Financial Analyst

LabX Media Group is currently looking for a full-time Financial Analyst to join our Finance and Accounting team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this individual will be a strategic, financial and operational partner to the management team. This individual will provide comprehensive financial insight into our business, while driving to improve efficiency as well as both top line and bottom line growth.

Responsibilities:

• Management of robust financial and management reporting
• Management and oversight of multiple entities within a dynamic growing organization
• Collaborate with Business Unit leaders for budgeting, forecasting and general strategy
• Monitor and forecast expenditures to ensure budget compliance
• Provide insight and commentary on a monthly basis with regards to finances
• Partner with various staff to ensure accurate reporting of revenues and costs.
• Drive the creation reports within our Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) ** Netsuite **
• Provide deep insights by understanding, analyzing and explaining variances while providing tangible recommendations for improvement
• Analyze monthly, quarterly and yearly results against prior year, budget/reforecast & investor expectations

Required Skills:

• We are ideally looking for an individual with a minimum of 4 years of Accounting/Finance experience in a corporate environment
• Formal education in Finance/Accounting is required and a university degree is preferred. Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CPA, CGA) preferred.
• For this position, we are looking for an individual that has a keen eye for detail and can work with a high level of accuracy.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required and prior experience working with an ERP software is an asset
• Ability to efficiently work under deadlines and specific time sensitive goals is required
• Outstanding communication skills are a must
