Candidate is required to travel, and expenses are provided. Responsibilities Manage multiple concurrent projects to OPS I & IT Standards using a combination of waterfall and agile methodologies. Manage multiple projects and project resources through the project management life cycle while meeting Health Service Cluster gating and architecture checkpoint requirements. Adhere to OPS I&IT standards and best practices for project management to facilitate control of system quality; adhere to standard methodology and the control of the use of I&IT resources. Develop project plans, work packages, obtain approvals. Develop and execute project charters, integrated project plans, schedules, and communication plans, including obtaining approvals. Maintain the project plan, the communication plan, and the master project schedule. Create and manage the assigned work package within the overall project plan, including all components, documents, and reports. Report to, manage expectations of senior executives and other stakeholders. Participate in steering committee and stakeholder forums as required. Provide project and/or portfolio reporting to multi-stakeholders at senior executive levels. Manage stakeholders' interests and expectations throughout the life cycle of the project. Issue and risk management and mitigation. Proactively identify risks and issues pertaining to the assigned work package, report them to the overall Project Champions and the Portfolio Team; identify and mitigate strategies and responses to the issues and risks. Develop and maintain product backlogs. Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders, developers, technical team members and designers. Vendor management – work with vendors to negotiate and deliver mutually beneficial multi-year contracts for ongoing warranty, maintenance, and support of technology (e.g., Computer Aided Dispatch application). Ensure the development and delivery of business cases where applicable to seek approval for long-term support & maintenance contracts with Ministry vendors. Work with Ministry (or assigned) Legal and Procurement entities within the OPS to ensure processes are adhered to and Ministry interests are incorporated while establishing contracts. Coordinate project plans with Public Safety Operations; ensure project implementation plans have no adverse impact on public safety operations. Financial management of the project — ensure a high level of fiscal control and accountability for the project budget; forecast changes to the budget and communicate planned vs. actual budget as the project progresses. Provide highly specialized senior technical knowledge and coordination for IT Facility projects, including development and implementation of facilities technology infrastructure at ambulance communications sites, ensuring availability requirements through capacity planning, documented processes, and life cycle management of infrastructure equipment. Provide senior technical expertise in the development of IT facilities systems and processes, including assessment and documentation of current stakes and remediation plans for ambulance dispatch sites (Power, HVAC, Cabling and Patch Panel, Racks and rack diagram, Dispatch consoles/workstations). Develop estimates of costs and resources required; determine schedules; provide status reports; and exercise remediation control. Conduct research for products that meet specific client business needs. Provide senior technical expertise in complex technology facility analysis and design, including adherence to safety standards. Create and update server/equipment room drawings including rack and technical configurations. Qualifications Project Management: 40% 10+ years of experience with project management. Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies, documentation, collateral, and artefacts. Experience managing all phases of large-scale, complex IT projects. Strong budgeting experience with fiscal control, forecasts, and reconciliation of actuals. Experience with Enterprise Content Management. Experience gathering requirements for project charters and integrated project plans. Experience identifying and evaluating issues or risks, providing options analysis and action plans. Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Clarity/Planview) for standard status reporting. Technical and Experience: 40% 10+ years in facilities management, design, and implementation. Datacenter Power design (UPS/Generator, building power systems). Datacenter HVAC. Datacenter Cabling and Patch Panel. Datacenter Racks and rack diagrams. Datacenter Fire suppression systems. Datacenter network builds and security implementations. Emergency/Critical service Dispatch consoles/workstations. Facilities costing analysis and vendor management. Analytics and communications: 20% Experience working with large project teams and distributing updates to stakeholders. Experience identifying and acquiring skilled resources; clear role definitions. Strong cross-functional communication to engage stakeholders with diverse backgrounds. Strong written communication for recommendations, proposals, and executive reports. Team player with deadline discipline and conflict resolution skills. Ability to lead presentations for senior management and stakeholders; work independently with minimal supervision.
