Senior Electrical Design EngineerCalgary, AB | Full-Time, On-Site | Salary: $80k-$120k+ (based on experience)About The OpportunityWe’re working with a well-established building engineering consultancy in Calgary that is actively seeking an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team. This firm is known for its collaborative culture, award‑winning project portfolio, and focus on high-performance building systems across a range of sectors including commercial, institutional, healthcare, and mixed‑use developments.This is a fully on‑site role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with their team, contributing to technically complex projects, and mentoring junior designers.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the electrical design for new construction, renovation, and retrofit projects across a variety of sectorsDevelop detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and reports using AutoCAD and RevitPerform lighting calculations, power distribution layouts, and low‑voltage system designEnsure designs are code‑compliant and aligned with project requirements and timelinesAttend client meetings and site visits; act as a key technical contact throughout the project lifecycleMentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge‑sharing environmentQualifications3-8+ years of electrical design experience in the building consulting industryP.Eng. or EIT designation in AlbertaProficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and lighting/power calculation toolsStrong understanding of OESC, CEC, Alberta and National Building Code, and related electrical standardsExcellent communication skills and experience with client‑facing responsibilitiesPrevious experience with LEED projects, smart building systems, or sustainability‑focused design is an assetWhy JoinBe part of a tight‑knit, high‑performing team with a strong project pipeline in Western CanadaGain exposure to award‑winning, technically challenging projectsWork in a firm that values initiative, mentorship, and continuous professional growthInterested?If you’re looking to take the next step in your career with a firm that values both technical skill and team culture, we’d love to hear from you.
