DIETITIAN Location: Ottawa, Nepean Work: 3.5 days per week, Full-time Responsibilities Consult with and advise the Food Service Manager and Director of Care concerning nutrition and hydration program needs. Conduct nutritional assessments for each resident using RAI MDS 2.0, determine individualized diets and interventions with resident, family, and care team. Develop, implement, and evaluate nutritional care plans addressing concerns, goals, and interventions for all residents. Maintain excellent communication with the Food Service Manager regarding changing needs of residents. Review seasonal menus for nutritional adequacy and provide written approval. Educate residents, family members, and team members regarding nutrition and hydration recommendations. Act as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, representing Southbridge in regional and professional activities as appropriate. Participate in interdisciplinary committees related to resident care, facility operation, and quality indicators as required. Qualifications Registered Dietitian, eligible for membership with the College of Dietitians of Ontario. Extensive knowledge of geriatric nutrition. 3-5 years’ experience in long‑term care setting preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet, RAI MDS 2.0 desirable, familiarity with PointClickCare an asset. Excellent organizational, time management, and multi‑tasking skills. Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety practices, principles, and legislation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Customer‑focused attitude with demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective team relationships.
