We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Financial Specialist to be a part of the Okotoks' Finance Business Centre. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for duties as such: Supporting and delivering on day-to-day, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accountingfunctions including variance analysis, reporting, and forecasting. Serving as the finance lead on projects including a replacement ERP system selectionand implementation. Preparing analyses and working papers in support of the annual audit process. Developing, improving, implementing, and ensuring organizational compliance withpolicies, procedures, and internal controls affecting and protecting assets. Providing advice, analyses, and support to strategic planning and decision-making. Ensuring applicable regulatory compliance and reporting on the same. Working collaboratively with a diverse group of co-workers and leaders to advance workin an effective manner. What you Bring A combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to qualify. A typical way to qualify is equivalency of successful completion of a related University (bachelor) degree or a combination of other related education and experience in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting, plus: Must hold a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (required). Five (5) or more years of related experience representing continuous learning, (Municipal Government experience preferred). Experience leading financial projects including ERP software implementation (asset). Demonstrated experience conducting daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial accounting operations. Must enjoy and are good at analyzing complex data and providing actionable insights. A proven track record of building strong, collaborative relationships and of skillfully managing multiple tasks, schedules, and responsibilities efficiently.
