Overview The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking motivated Physician Assistants/Clinical Assistants for 2 full‑time positions in the Anesthesia Program at the Health Sciences Centre, in Winnipeg, MB. Job Description Annual Hours: 2600. This is not a medical assistant or medical office assistant position. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications and is accompanied by a benefits package. Responsibilities Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations/interventions. Conduct history and physical examinations in settings including the Emergency Department, wards, and pre‑peri/post‑operative wards. Attend clinical and educational rounds. Maintain standard‑of‑practice recordings for all patient encounters, dictating or utilizing electronic medical records where available. Communicate effectively in English with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Qualifications Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant. Eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment. Prior experience preferred. Successful completion of the one‑year Manitoba Anesthesia Clinical Assistant Training program required. Physician Assistants Graduate of a Physician Assistant Educational Program acceptable to CPSM. Clinical Assistants Graduate of an accredited Medical School in Canada or abroad. Have at least one of the following: Clinical Assistant Assessment NAC OSCE LMCC Additional Requirements This position is subject to a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse and Child Abuse Registry checks.
