Primary responsibilities relate to planning, organizing, directing, controlling, evaluating, developing policy and communicating. As a member of the healthcare team, provides effective pharmaceutical services and ensures that these services are utilized appropriately, in accordance with the mission, philosophy, goals and by-laws of the Northern Health Region (NHR).The incumbent must fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Records/ Vulnerable Person, Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check, and adhere to all Northern Health Region policies and procedures.QualificationsBachelor of Science (Pharmacy) or equivalent form a recognized universityCompletion of a hospital residency program or orientation to the specialized functions of a hospital pharmacyLicensed, or eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of ManitobaPharmacy Examining Board of Canada CertificationValid Class V Manitoba Driver’s License with access to a vehicle and willingness to travel the region year roundTwo (2) years’ supervisory/management experienceTwo (2) years’ comprehensive experience related to the positionWorking knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and InternetDemonstrates commitment to maintaining own professional and educational competenciesDemonstrates current knowledge of clinical practice and trends in pharmacy managementDemonstrates responsibility to stakeholders in management of a regional pharmacy serviceSuccessful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment Policy (HR-02-80).
