LTO Assignment: Gr 4/5 French Immersion & Gr 3 FSL 1.00 FTE Long Term Occasional Assignment. The Ottawa Catholic School Board is seeking a teacher to provide coverage for a teacher on leave. Responsibilities Provide instructional support in Grades 4‑5 French Immersion and Grade 3 FSL. Deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons and manage classroom activities. Communicate with parents and maintain student records. Collaborate with school staff and adhere to board policies. Qualifications Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. Successful completion of Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT. Current training in Inclusive Education and Digital Learning (preferred). Salary The salary will be determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement. Effective September 1, 2025, teacher salaries range from $51,234.00 to $119,943.00. Selection Process The board will identify the three most senior qualified applicants for the assignment. Applicants not already assigned to another LTO position are considered available. Selected applicants will be contacted to confirm their interest; up to five candidates are reviewed. If fewer than three qualified applicants apply, the board will select a successful applicant from the available pool. If no qualified applicants apply or all decline, the board may hire an external qualified teacher not on the roster. Additional Requirements for External Candidates Must pass the OT interview process. Submissions must include a negative PRC for the Vulnerable Sector dated within the last six months.
