This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical capabilities and a collaborative mindset, especially someone who thrives in a fast-paced technology or manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:Assist the Controller with general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Analyze and manage various P&L and Balance Sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.Support the day-to-day operations of the accounting team, helping maintain timely and accurate financial records.Oversee inventory costing, fixed asset accounting, and capital expenditure tracking.Provide support for treasury functions, including cash flow tracking and reporting.Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.Collaborate with the Controller and cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and support business operations.Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, with a focus on automation and efficiency.Respond to internal inquiries and provide clear, actionable financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.Coordinate and support external audit requirements with proper documentation and communication.Assist with ERP system updates, financial systems integration, and process optimization projects.Take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the finance team and broader organizational goals.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting.CPA designation (or in final stages of completion) is required.5 - 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or tech environment.Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.Strong knowledge of cost accounting (an asset), inventory management, and capital asset accounting.Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics).Proficient in MS Excel and financial statement analysis.Comfortable translating complex financial data and concepts to non-financial audiences and working closely with operations, supply chain, and other business units.Skills:Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively with colleagues across departments.A collaborative team player who contributes to a positive work environment and supports team and organizational goals.Why CoolIT?We strive to be an employer of choice and as such we believe in rewarding our employees with career and development opportunities that will maintain and strengthen our culture while aligning to our vision and values.We are a company that is full of vibrant, innovative people who love what we do.Benefits:Vacation and flex days, and paid company-wide shutdown during the holiday season.Comprehensive benefits including Dental, Drugs, Optical, Paramedical and Health Spending.
