OverviewSenior Manager, Corporate Credit Risk Analytics (Bilingual Spanish/English)Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. As a Senior Manager, you assist the Director in managing workflows and coaching/training team members in providing support to various credit adjudication teams ensuring acceptable risk assessments, portfolio management, data integrity and completion of internal and regulatory reporting requirements.ResponsibilitiesManage a team of Analysts who perform risk assessment analysis through risk rating tools (including template selection) to determine the appropriateness of Borrower IG code (including override rationale) / LGD and escalate matters requiring attention.Monitor ODAR, CreditLens Refresh Report, exception reports, industry and connection exposures.Ensure timely completion of internal and regulatory reporting requirements in accordance with Bank policy and procedures.Champion efficiency or streamlining initiatives that impact processes within CCRA and with external partners.Promote a risk culture with a bold change mindset, build trust, and prioritize the client.Communicate the terms and conditions of credit authorizations accurately.Thoroughly check and review incoming tasks, maintaining up-to-date SDR in accordance with bank policy and procedures.Build strong working relationships with Credit units, Banking Units, Credit Process, Design & Training, Credit Risk Administration, and other Global Risk Management units.Provide immediate response to credit inquiries and offer reasonable solutions to credit-related issues.Lead (or arrange) training sessions for CCRA team members to enhance credit knowledge.Manage the preparation of industry annual reviews, particularly with respect to data collection where applicable.Log management and assignment of requests, assessing difficulty quickly and determining if future consultation with Credit units is required; provide training and proactive coaching/feedback to enhance team performance.Actively participate in C360 Change Committee & CreditLens Governance Committee.Ensure compliance with audit requirements and CCRA Job Aid to meet stakeholder requirements.Collaborate with Fulfillment Manager to ensure timely review and action of incoming and outgoing work with Analysts to meet SLA with partners.Drive continuous improvement by leading team initiatives to address inefficiencies in CCRA procedures.Provide proactive support to GRM Corporate Credit adjudication teams as required.Play a key role in talent development and fostering an inclusive culture.Skills and QualificationsBilingual (English & Spanish)Full understanding of financial statements with strong analytical skillsExcellent understanding of the Bank's credit policies, processes, and procedures including risk rating processesUnderstanding of many of the various industries covered by Corporate Credit/FI CreditAbility to establish collaborative relationships within the unit, across GRM-Corporate Credit units and with internal partnersStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailGood organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high quality workExcellent computer skills, including data analytics and Microsoft OfficeProactive in seeking efficiencies within the GRM-CCRA unit and with partnersAbility to train, coach, and provide timely feedback to team membersWhat’s in it for you?Inclusive and collaborative work environment that values curiosity and ownership, encourages pragmatic creativity, and celebrates successTransparent career path with opportunities for professional developmentInternal training to support growthHybrid Work EnvironmentCompetitive rewards package including base salary, performance bonus, pension and profit sharing, paid vacation, personal & sick days, medical, vision and dental benefits from day oneLocationCanada : Ontario : TorontoScotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
