Overall Responsibilities Reporting to the Supervisor, Quality Control the Quality Control Technologist will assist the Senior Technologists in ensuring all Jamieson products have met all chemical, physical and bacteriological criteria prior to use, sale or supply by following all procedures and guidelines as prescribed by the Quality Control Department. This is a 1 year contract. Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties Follow instructions and procedure as outlined by the Senior Technologists. Perform daily processing of all samples, which includes physical testing, assays and chemical analysis as per the standard testing procedures. Operate general instrumentation and any other equipment related to the QC Laboratory. Maintain overall sanitation of the QC Laboratories and their contents. Carry out calibrations on laboratory equipment as needed. Perform other related duties and projects as assigned. Working in compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure. Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities. Other duties and project as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements Degree or diploma in Chemistry, Biology or a related science from an accredited College and/or University. One (1) year experience in similar role. Conversant in USP/NF and FCC testing protocols. Conversant in GMP/GLP requirements. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) an asset. Ability to input and extract information in a computerized environment. Good interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate clearly. Work independently and with minimal supervision.
