Description PeaceHealth is seeking an LPN Clinic - Primary Care for a Part Time, 0.50 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $26.70 – $40.06. Nestled between the calm waters of Bellingham Bay and the majestic Cascade Mountains in Washington state, Historic Fairhaven Village is known for its Victorian-era architecture and colorful history. Within the southern city limits of Bellingham, Fairhaven Historic Village is the perfect launching point for hikes, picnics, or kayak on the bay. Responsible for ensuring delivery of quality nursing care to clinic patients as directed by physicians and other healthcare providers. The Clinic LPN functions as a core member of the interdisciplinary care team and fulfills/shares the roles and responsibilities of rooming nurse, resource nurse, and clinical support nurse in the ambulatory patient care setting. Details of the position: Assesses and implements patient care under supervision. Prepares patient for examination. Provides direct patient care. Assists provider with examination and treatment of patient as directed. Under the oversight of provider, may be responsible for telephone triage using age specific triage protocol books and computerized resources. Documents patient care in health record according to department standards. Obtains and conveys information to and from patients, pharmacies, and other providers as directed and supervised by a licensed provider. May obtain referral authorizations for treatment as directed by provider. Ensures own professional effectiveness through continued education and professional development. Performs other duties as assigned. What you bring: Accredited State Board of Nursing LPN Program required. Minimum of 1 year Preferred: clinical experience as an LPN. Required: Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs. Required: Upon Hire Licensed Practical Nurse - Washington. Required: Upon Hire Basic Life Support. Skills Basic computer skills required including familiarity with MS Office applications. (Required) Must have cooperative working and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of patients, families and staff. (Required) Effective prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple clinical tasks at one time. (Required) Must be well organized, detail oriented, flexible and able to function independently.
