Director of Sales, EasternLocation: Montreal, QuebecTime Type: Full timeJob Requisition ID: JR00118325 Job Description The purpose of the role is to support the regional sales team in achieving individual insurance and retention targets by developing and managing sales promotion forums, including sales campaigns. The incumbent will build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to aid in sales objectives. They will manage escalations reported by the region, escalating to the RVP when necessary, and support market share growth through advisor penetration strategies. Responsibilities Lead support functions including Business Development Managers, Inside Sales, and Regional Coordinator. Support the RVP in senior-level firm relationship management. Manage front-line escalations. Improve sales results through Inside Sales and business management campaigns. Maintain relationships with some advisors and firms. Collaborate with national Directors of Sales to define, promote, and share best practices. Identify and mitigate potential risks to the company. Effectively manage the team’s budget. Assist the Regional Vice President in developing a strategic plan for the region. Participate in complex tier 1 case consultations. Support Insurance Sales Representative onboarding. Contribute to sales target discussions from a firm perspective. Liaise with Insurance Sales Representatives to maintain advisor relationships. Qualifications University degree or post-secondary education. Life and Health Insurance License. Knowledge of insurance and health products and operations. Chartered Financial Planner (CFP) or Certified Life Underwriter (CLU/AVA) – asset. 5–7 years proven success in a sales role – asset. Leadership experience with proven results – asset. Bilingualism (French & English, both oral and written) – required. Core Competencies Highly organized and detail oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously under tight timelines. Strong partnering skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders. Superior relationship building skills. Knowledge of the insurance industry, competitors, market segmentation, and trends. Proven networking skills with advisors and sales leaders. Collaboration with national colleagues on key initiatives.
