Position: Physician Clinic Medical Director – Stockton, CA Overview The Physician Clinic Medical Director reports to the Director of Medical Operations (DMO) and is responsible for delivering high‑quality clinical care, mentoring clinicians, and driving continuous improvement within the clinic. Responsibilities Provide 100% center‑based patient care, mentoring, and lead by example to demonstrate clinical excellence. Collaborate with the DMO to identify opportunities to improve clinical quality, workflows, safety, and patient experience. Work with the Director Team to ensure compliance with clinical workflows and support optimal patient care. Mentor and train emerging clinical leaders and new hires to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Understand and communicate center financial drivers to support business and strategic plans. Maintain relationships with employers, payers, referral sources and community partners; respond to requests within 24 hours. Assist with the planning of clinician meetings and staffing adjustments for coverage needs. Observe drug/alcohol testing of patients as required. Qualifications Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of jurisdiction. Unrestricted DEA license for that state. Medical degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution fho. Preferred two years of clinical and supervisory experience in a managed‑સ્થ environment. Experience leading medical management and quality improvement programmes. Core competencies: service mentality, attention to detail, sense of urgency, initiative, and flexibility. Ability to make decisions and solve problems using logic and evidence‑based methods. Excellent customer‑service and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in handling HIPAA‑protected information. Strong communication skills across multiple media. Ability to supervise, evaluate, coach, and develop staff. Team‑player mindset with a “patient‑first” approach. Willingness to learn and continuously improve, responsive to feedback. Compensation Base compensation range: $280,000 to $345,000 annually, plus a $10,000 Director Stipend, depending on experience, location and seniority. Benefits Flexible schedule: M‑F 8:00‑5:00 with no nights, weekends, holidays or call. Competitive base salary with annual merit increase. Monthly Medical Director stipend.
