OverviewVDC/BIM Coordinator role at Kindred Construction Ltd.Kindred is seeking a highly motivated BIM Coordinator to support the implementation and integration of BIM standards across our projects. Reporting to the BIM Manager, you’ll play a vital part in aligning project teams throughout all phases of digital project delivery. If you’re passionate about digital construction and committed to creating consistent workflows and standards, we want to hear from youAs BIM Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and support projects initiated by the BIM Manager and guide them through to successful completion. Our BIM process centers on the development of shared 3D models to visualize design intent, assess constructability, and resolve clashes early. We follow a structured three-stage BIM workflow: early involvement, model development, and clash coordination. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with project teams to ensure successful BIM execution across all phases.ResponsibilitiesMaintain projects set up by the BIM ManagerSupport issue tracking using ACC Model Coordination and ReviztoAssist with standards documentation and company-wide rolloutHelp maintain and implement Kindred BIM standards, templates, and workflowsCollaborate with project teams to develop and maintain BIM models through design and constructionFacilitate coordination meetings, including clash detection and model reviewsContribute to BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific requirement documentsAssist with model data extraction for schedules, quantities, and reportingRun routine model audits to ensure compliance with standardsProvide guidance and basic training to project staff on BIM workflows and toolsWork closely with consultants, project managers, and trades to align expectations and deliverablesStay current with BIM technologies and industry trendsRequirementsDiploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, BIM Management, Construction Management, or a related field2-3 years of experience in a BIM-related role within construction or designProficient in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, Procore, and ReviztoStrong understanding of design-to-construction workflows and processesFamiliarity with BIM Execution Plans and coordination workflowsExperience supporting QA/QC reviews and model auditsKnowledge of mechanical systems and structural design is an assetStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projectsClear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work collaboratively with consultants, trades, and project managersKindred Construction is an equal opportunity employer that does not tolerate discrimination in the workplace.
