Salary Range Full pay range: $75,700 to $126,000 annually. Target range: $90,000 to $106,000 annually. Scope of Job The Operations Manager is accountable for the effective operation of a single renewable energy project that encompasses budgeting, cost management, daily optimization of planning, and organization of day‑to‑day staff work. You will uphold a safe working environment for direct reports and ensure employees and contractors are adequately trained to perform day‑to‑day maintenance and repair activities at the project sites. It is the manager’s responsibility to ensure that the team performs duties in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, customer objectives, and all regulatory and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will adhere to EDF Renewables core values, drive toward the goals of the Asset Optimization Business Unit, and understand their legal role and responsibility as a supervisor of workers in the legal jurisdiction of the work performed. Responsibilities Operational Management (40%) – Develop annual budgets, plan resources, and allocate necessary resources to achieve operational goals, objectives, and KPIs while delivering best‑in‑class safety performance. Monitor performance indicators, identify trends, and develop mitigation plans. Team Leadership / Supervision (25%) – Assign direct reports, provide training and development resources, give continuous feedback, hold the team accountable for compliance, performance delivery, and safe working practices. Contract & Regulatory Compliance (20%) – Understand project permits, laws, and contract language; coordinate with EDF Renewables Operational Control Center; ensure compliance with NERC, FERC, and other security and reliability requirements. Stakeholder Management Support (10%) – Support relationships with local authorities, landowners, OEMs, and other stakeholders to optimize project performance and compliance. Other duties as assigned (5%) Supervision Of Others Direct supervision of frontline operations staff and oversight of external contractors. Qualifications Education / Experience High School Diploma or equivalent and driver’s license required. 3–5 years of supervisory experience in industrial, manufacturing, or O&M of power plant facilities or renewable energy O&M environment required. Previous experience with continuous improvement concepts and practices desired. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Valid current driver’s license and ability to operate motor vehicles. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand technical aspects of renewable energy production. Proven safety knowledge and work practices. Understanding of legal work scope requirements (e.g., electrician, union). Experience with ERP/CMMS/SAP systems. Effective communication and meeting facilitation skills. College‑level coursework or certificates desired. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite desired. Understanding of budgeting principles and cost management. Ability to perform short‑ and long‑term resource planning and inventory management. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods under various climate conditions. Ability to climb wind turbine generators – wind sites only. Working Conditions 70% of time spent in an office environment with computers, phones, and office equipment; 30% of time spent outside guiding field personnel, auditing operational maintenance activities, and overseeing contractor and vendor work. Fiscal Responsibilities Must work within the budget constraints of the project and as authorized by the regional head of Asset Optimization, while following all policies and procedures.
